Opioid Dependency/ Substance Use Disorder
Opioid Dependency Treatment at Medical Wellness Solutions
Medical Wellness Solutions offers outpatient treatment for opioid dependence under the care of Dr. Richard Cunningham, who is certified by the Drug Enforcement Agency and SAMHSA for the treatment of opioid dependency/ substance use disorder. Our program is built around the understanding that dependency/ substance use disorder is a medical condition that requires compassionate, structured, and individualized care. We do not judge patients for their past. We focus on helping them build a healthy and stable future.
Our treatment program uses FDA-approved medication to stop the cycle of craving, opioid abuse, and withdrawal. Medication is prescribed only during regular monthly office visits and is managed carefully throughout your treatment. Lifestyle modification, counseling, and life coaching are the cornerstone of our outpatient program, alongside the prescribing of medication. We do not provide methadone at our clinic. Methadone can only be dispensed through certified methadone centers that require daily visits.
All risks and benefits of treatment are fully discussed with our certified providers before any prescription is written. The initial and maintenance phases, as well as the phasing schedule, are discussed at the start of treatment. The length of time a patient needs to remain on medication varies and is individualized based on each patient's progress and clinical status. We require monthly visits with urine drug screens to ensure compliance with our program and office policies. Discontinuation of all illicit and non-prescribed medications is required. Keeping all scheduled appointments is essential to success in this program.

Pricing and What to Expect
The initial visit fee is $250 and includes a comprehensive evaluation of your history, current situation, and treatment goals. Follow-up visits are $175 per month and are required to continue treatment. Each visit includes a urine drug screen. Lab confirmation is billed directly to your insurance and for patients without insurance coverage it will be billed to them directly at a discounted rate.
Our office does not accept insurance for visits. We accept cash, Visa, MasterCard, and HSA cards. We do assist patients in using their insurance for prescribed medications and laboratory studies and will complete prior authorizations when required by your insurance provider.
Patients who are struggling with prescription medication dependency, drug addiction, recurring withdrawals, or feel their life is controlled by substances are encouraged to call our office. Recovery is possible, and our team is here to support you every step of the way.
